Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd
Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd (TMUK) has two manufacturing plants located at Burnaston, Derbyshire and Deeside, North Wales. Representing an investment of over £1.85 billion. TMUK is owned 100% by Toyota Motor Europe (TME), which is 100% owned by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC).
At Burnaston, the company manufactures Avensis, Auris and Auris Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) for the UK market and global export, during 2010 137, 054 vehicles were manufactured.
The engine plant in Deeside has the distinction of being the only Toyota engine manufacturing plant outside Japan to build the Hybrid engine. The plant manufactures the ZR engine for Toyota manufacturing plants in the UK, Turkey and Japan.
